This 1750 square foot townhouse is part of a nine unit strata, located in White Rock BC.
The property has beautiful southern views of Semiahmoo Bay and western views of the Gulf Islands. The layout is organized with the entry on level 1, main living area on level 2 and the bedrooms on level 3. Design and construction of the renovation was done on all levels.
New solid walnut hardwood flooring was laid throughout the main and bedroom levels, the bathrooms were completely remodeled with porcelain wall and floor tiling and new water efficient fixtures. The laundry room was relocated from the bedroom level to the entry level and the space was converted into a home office.
The stair enclosure was removed from both flights to take full advantage of an existing skylight above and the staircase was transformed into a central feature of the home with solid ¾” walnut risers and treads, accentuated with an extruded aluminum nosing.
The major partition located between the kitchen and dining area was removed to connect the kitchen within the main living space. The structural columns that remained after the removal of the partition have been clad in a dark edge-grained Wenge veneer. This natural hardwood finish extends to form a low soffit area along the spine of the kitchen which then transitions into flush cabinetry. The lower cabinets of the kitchen are finished in stainless steel, while the upper cabinets have horizontal etched glass doors in aluminum frames.
