The Bridge Mixed-Use Development Design Competition
The CEI team, led by John Scott MAIBC, Partner in Charge, recognized the potential in the Glanville Site, located in the central district of Medicine Hat.
The project was envisioned as a unique development while respecting the architecture of City Hall and the Espanade Arts and Hertiage Centre.
In addition to creating a distinct addition to the existing built urban fabric, the influence of the proposed development is intended to extend beyond the immediate site to create a positive contribution to the downtown core. By adding a significant node to the public realm, the development contributes as a “Gateway” to Medicine Hat through its massing that forms a new cover plaza.
