Design Architect for the refurbishment of an existing public plaza in downtown Vancouver.
Scotiabank Plaza Enhancements
As an extension to the building upgrade that has been executed by Manulife Real Estate for their Class A office tower at 510 Burrard Street in Vancouver, SURF Architecture provided a design to refurbish the public plaza that fronts the civic intersection at Burrard St. and West Pender St. in downtown Vancouver.
To enhance the civic public realm, the proposed design consists of replacing surfacing paving materials, replacement of lighting fixtures and street furniture. The overall impact of the enhancement is intended to reinvigorate the overall appearance and promote use of this prominent civic amenity.
